Cancer Survivor

Health became the most important thing in the world to me after I was diagnosed with cancer. I was only 4 years old when I was diagnosed with leukemia, a blood and bone marrow cancer that makes it very hard to fight off any infection. It was a long, hard fought battle, but on my twelfth birthday, I had officially kicked cancer’s ass! After this experience, I never wanted to take my health for granted, and over the years I developed a love for fitness and all different types of training. As a college student, I studied Health and Exercise Sciences while working at GNC where I became an expert in every nutritional supplement they offered. I was OBSESSED with supplements and their promise of providing an edge in my overall health and training (spoiler alert, they over promised and under-delivered).

I’ve now dedicated my life to continue to help others on their health journey. In today’s world, we’re all forced to fight for our health because of our food supply, nutrient deficiencies, and band-aid medical treatments. Let me some up the importance of what it means to put your health first in one simple quote… “A healthy person has a thousand wishes, but a sick person has only one.”

Discovering the truth about supplements

After my health failed me again in the world of fitness (more on this later), I dove deeper into my research and quickly realized that most of the supplements on the shelf were doing more harm than good. These supplements were (and still are) loaded with fake sweeteners, flavors, colors, preservatives, and made using harsh chemical manufacturing processes. Most performance nutrition supplements contain ingredients that have been directly linked to ADD, ADHD, depression, and anxious behaviors. In fact, many of these ingredients (flavoring, coloring, and artificial sweeteners) are banned in most countries outside of the U.S.

Here's a Fun Fact:
There’s a HUGE difference between being fit and being healthy. I dove deep into the fitness world of working my ass off and hitting my macros. Only to be over working and under nourishing my body. The result? Chronic fatigue, IBS, wrecked hormones, and more. On the outside, I was ripped, but on the inside I was miserable.

I found it frustrating that the entire fitness community was trying to do the right thing by taking supplements to benefit their health, but the companies making those supplements were cutting corners and creating products that cause more harm than good. I realized that very few consumers actually understand what’s in the products they’re taking and what impact it has on their health (good or bad).

Eventually, I decided to take matters into my own hands because I know the value that supplements can have. But I knew that people needed to be educated first. The fitness industry feels like Big Fitness now… right up there with Big Pharma and Big Food. Meaning it’s more about the quality of their marketing than the quality of the products.

We help people heal by putting health first

We’ve lost sight of what a supplement truly is. A supplement means “in addition to”... we should be supplementing an already healthy lifestyle. If you’re here, we’ll help educate you on what it means to put your health first, and when you need a supplement to help you further heal, we’ve got the healthiest ones on the planet.
